Nearly 2,000 veterans have pledged to stand with Standing Rock, acting as “human shields” for those protesting the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline, the New York Times reported Tuesday.

As an American, I am ashamed of what is going on at Standing Rock. I’ve loved Obama since before he was first elected, but I’m furious over his lack of actions. What I am proud of is the 2,000 vets who showed up to stand for what is right. Keep the faith!

They haven’t showed up yet. I think they’ll be arriving on December 5th. I just hope no one gets hurt.
