  1. Hearing stories like this helps me appreciate the Buffalo VA. They would have never let something so preventable and unforgivable happen. Buffalo has changed dramatically over the past 20 years and are very veterans-first focused. Sadly that isn’t the case with many VAs. Because of that I will never move out of this area.

    It’s heartbreaking. My heart goes out to you.

    • This isn’t my story, which is why I included the link. I read stories like this all the time, and once in awhile, I post one on my blog to remind everyone else that this is happening. People are suffering and cannot get help. It’s not just a problem with the VA.

      I know how hard it is to read about other people’s suffering when we’re in so much pain ourselves, so I try to keep posts like this to a minimum. I know this kind of news is depressing, but then, this is reality.
