Re: I don’t watch CNN because…
Dear Ms. Stevenson and Ms. Adib:
The CNN broadcast of an Anderson Cooper interview on the prescription opioid/heroin “epidemic” is just one example of why I don’t watch CNN. Tell me, how are your viewership statistics? Let’s ask the internet, shall we?

Do ya’ll think that CNN will be remembered for championing the drug war? For being on the wrong side of history?
As a 30-year intractable pain survivor, if I thought CNN really wanted to hear and report on the side of pain patients, I would include a link to my blog. But just like your corporation couldn’t be bothered to find the truth, I can’t be bothered to watch lies.

I am in the very same boat. I have a lot of links and attachments on articles where very recently ‘our side’ has prevailed, like the FDA taking away the DEA’s right to enact RICO like “shut ’em down on the spot” powers on doctors, pharmacies, wholesalers etc who they expect potentially distribute or contribute to the problem. Even if they don’t know it. Like stampeding in to a CVA and

I’ll look for those links on your blog, but I don’t believe the FDA can take any rights away from the DEA. The DEA has a lot more power than the FDA. And even if Congress enacted legislation that did this, no one in law enforcement would pay attention to it.

Did you get to watch it? I’d look for it, but I’m afraid I’d throw my keyboard through the monitor with as irritating and ignorant as it sounds. It’s just sad.

I don’t waste my time with crap like this. And I stopped watching CNN when I hit puberty. 🙂

I like Anderson Cooper! I feel you on the crap they report on though. Did they answer you?

“Report” I should say.

I’m not expecting any kind of answer. After all, what could they possibly say?

I don’t know? They should interview you.

Seriously. You’re a chronic pain survivor. I never really see stories about this in the mainstream media. I wasn’t really aware of it until I found your blog. It seems to be an issue that’s not really reported on. It’s a struggle for you and others in the blog world.

CNN put a chronic pain survivor on the panel and made her look bad. And you won’t see any reporting in the mainstream media for chronic pain patients until the opioid war is over, which could be decades. I guess it made me laugh because I know CNN would never consider that. But I thank you for recognizing our struggles. 🙂

I can’t relate to your struggles but I empathize with you all. CNN is a joke anyway. 😂

In other news, the county I live in voted for Bernie, but the state voted for Hillary. 😦

Aww :(. I’ll take her over Trump though. I’m waiting for him to show up in El Paso…😃 He’s probably too scared.
