Goodbye, Winter

It’s going to be almost 80 degrees later this week, which doesn’t seem fair to Winter at all. says the historical monthly average for February is 53 degrees. Two months from now in April, the historical average is 69 degrees. (No wonder the birds look so freaked out.)

I just want Winter and the snow to know that they are always welcome in Albuquerque. πŸ™‚

  1. I love the monochrome photo o the cars and the tree. Very nice. It is hard to believe that winter is almost over. However my body is sure glad that we are going to be moving into warmer weather soon!

      • My body definitely likes the warmth better. My husband jokes about us buying time till we move somewhere warmer (we have 2 kids in school and refuse to move them until they AT least complete high school…then it would be their decision to follow us or not as they would always have a a place to stay with us wherever we end up). But the warmer the better and humidity is a plus. πŸ™‚

        • For most of my life, I lived in Houston, Texas, where the humidity is legendary. Thing is, it was so freaking hot that I rarely went outside. Not that there’s much to see in the city, except concrete and steel.

It may be a little too dry here in Albuquerque, but the views are worth it. And the weather is like, not too hot and not too cold… it’s just right. I’m enjoying the fresh air through an opened window right now — something you can only rarely do in Houston. πŸ™‚
