when can i purchase another box of psudoephdrine after my yearly limit is reached?
It looks like I’m not the only one having this problem. I’m guessing the answer to that question is January 1, 2016. I’m also guessing that I’ll have this same problem at the end of next year.
The other question is “where can I purchase another box?” I thought about looking for an online Canadian pharmacy that would sell me some Claritin-D, but it just sounds like too much trouble. But if anyone knows where one might buy decongestants in some underground market, perhaps you’ll share that information in the comment section.
The easiest way to skirt around the limit is just to have a family member or friend buy more if that option is available (which I realise can be a long shot, but it’s what I do). Otherwise, I’m not really sure… I can tell you what the pharmacies do and don’t track, but that’s about the extent of my usefulness. /:
Drug regulations are a pain, for sure… Have you tried phenylephrine? It’s not quite as effective, but I’ve found it still works for me (and not being behind the pharmacy counter is a huge plus)

Thanks for the info. I don’t have any family or friends who would be willing to do that… not that I would ask. Phenylephrine comes in a nose spray, doesn’t it? Maybe I’m the only one who doesn’t like putting stuff up her nose… 🙂

Yes, it can be a nasal spray or in pills; I’ve actually only ever tried it as an ingredient in pills, but wikipedia said it’s sold in a spray too (my sources are totally reliable, haha).
Putting stuff up your nose to deal with a stuffy nose seems counterproductive… At least it’s not regulated and behind the pharmacy counter, though! :p
