Cats tossed in pet therapy guidelines

Dogs may be OK but cats are deemed too risky for hospital visits

“Cats should be excluded,” the guidelines continue, “because they cannot be trained to reliably provide safe interactions with patients in the health care setting.”

An obvious case of discrimination — cats are just as awesome as dogs.  Plus, cats can be trained to use a litterbox, while dogs go everywhere.  Sometimes I feel like I’m living in the middle of one big doggy toilet.  I have pictures, if you wanna see… 🙂

  1. I am not a dog person. My daughter has and loves her dog and I do like Avery, but most dogs, no.
Cats are wonderful. You don’t have to train them to be too nice. They are, anyway. Just drop the claws, do the spay/neuter bit, and hold them a lot when they are little.
    Just my opinion.
